Who We Are
At the World Organization of Economists (WOE), we are a global community dedicated to promoting the value and relevance of the economics profession worldwide. Our mission is to foster a sense of belonging and pride in being economists, highlighting the importance of our role in modern society. We work to inspire economists from all over to come together and collaborate, promoting an inclusive and positive approach toward global economic development.
What We Do
At the WOE, we carry out various strategic actions to strengthen the voice and influence of economists in building a fair and sustainable future:
We Promote a Sense of Belonging
We foster recognition and pride in being an economist anywhere in the world, strengthening a solid and united professional identity.
We Position Economic Proposals
We create a space for analysis, reflection, debate, and the development of public policy proposals. Our goal is to promote a new model of economic development based on social justice, reflecting the needs and aspirations of all nations.
We Provide Technical Advisory Services
We offer national and international consulting in key areas such as imports, exports, transfer pricing, tax advisory, income, expenditures, public spending, and debt management. Our aim is to provide effective, tailored solutions for today’s economic challenges.
We Promote the World Congress of Economists
This flagship event will gather economists from all five continents in Asunción, Paraguay, in February 2025 to exchange ideas, proposals, and experiences. It is a unique opportunity to build a global network and foster the advancement of the global economy.
